Sociological, scientific, psychological, philosophical, mathematical, biological,etc. Love have been examined in every possible field that we could explain. I believe that this is because of the confusion and undefined nature of love. Imagine , you feel something ,but you don’t know why is this happening. This person can make you upset easily, you may feel excited like a lil brat, your intellectual abilities disappear around them. Whenever you talk , in every sentence, you feel like that you told something stupid because you can’t control yourself. You are the puppet that they can easily smash in every way. They can fuck or make you cry. Like a virus. Taking over your whole body without you realizing it. Horrific, undefined ,sickening ,but passionate, sexy, mysterious and exciting.

I guess this one’s was the my definition for love ,even I didn’t want to define. Even me as the writer, told common stuffs that everyone felt and relate. Exactly that’s the real point that I wanna talk about. Is love really could be personal or are we just live our relationships and love, as what society expected?

As I observed, relationships are deals not personal and private situations that between two person. The perception of loyalty and love still based on proving to society.

Shakespeare’s works may be the perfect example for this. One of his most popular works Romeo and Juliet, focuses pain even more than beautiful, passionate and pure side of love. Suicidal Romeo just dies quickly. I mean ,just calm the fuck down you don’t even know each other.

Unlike men, patriarchy examines women unreasonable, self uncontrolled subjects.

FINAL CHAPTER: BOYS DON’T CRY UNTIL WHEN THEY DID

Love is seen for women over the centuries. Especially in 21 th century because of the postmodernist approach. However, the most interesting part is even if love seen for women by society, most of the books, movies and content about love, created by man. We are still experiencing love that patriarchy expected. Even woman sexuality explaining by patriarchy not by women. Society still thinks that love and sex related to each other for women unlike men. Categorization of logic and emotion between two gender is so subjective. This is so passive aggressive I guess , forcing a gender for a thought without asking them.

The perception of boys don’t cry and women always cry are so superficial and unhealthy for each sex. This perspective provides tiring and mutualist , toxic bound. Putting both sides in a box that expects active and passive roles. Moreover, men are more related to logic by patriarchy. Another case that they cannot think I guess , this one is also harmful. You could see that many men suffers from depression and self hate nowadays.

The Iron Claw

2023’s The Iron Claw touches a perfect point of the same patriarchal system also harms men. The movie tells the real life story of the Von Erich brothers unusual wrestling career . At the beginning ,movie represents to audience, 5 muscular, emotionless, perfect , masculine strong wrestler men ,which are mentored by their retired wrestler father. Every character suffers from to win the world championship, which was their father’s dream. At first, every character achieves success, respect, money and power. However ,the authority of father and lack of expression of emotions ,destroying every character after one breakdown moment . The audience begins to watch psychological downfall of each character. The Iron Claw represents perfectly ,how the same patriarchy which is built by men also harms men too.

The point is , can we talk about love ,while we live in a patriarchal system even we don’t know how to express our feelings yet? Can hedonistic pleasures or toxic masculinity and femininity solve this problem? They are only creates superficial and boundless short term pleasures, but after that, one day you gave up at one breakdown point. Even if you are Kendrick Lamar, suddenly you make DAMN because if even you are the one of the most successful and famous rappers alive , you also feel Israelite.

We Are Not On Different Sides My Love, We Are Together

On the Ancient Greek Mythology , you my heard a story about love. As the story said, humans were originally created sticky and hermaphrodite. They were sharing two connected souls in a body. None of them weren’t superior from another. But then Zeus split them into two parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.
